Wetiko Blindness

Either You See It or You Don't

How strange it can be when something is right in front of you and you can't see it. With the mind virus of wetiko, a peculiar kind of blindness is in play, and you never even notice it. The mind virus is invisible to us, a kind of filter that allows us to see the world as we see it, in our own way, as we've been conditioned or programmed. It could be as bad as having VR headset glued to your head that controls your reality. Think about it. Haven't you been programmed by someone or something that you know of, ever?

When you can't see what is there, you are seeing something else, a perception or dream of your own making. As a culture of people, we are full of blindness. Nations and certain peoples may have different perceptions and blindnesses, for example. Often times a person sees what is not there and is not able to see what is there. This toxic combination makes us doubly blind and susceptible to the wetiko pressure acting upon us.

Your blindness might seem to keep you unaccountable, but can surprise you because your discernment is disabled. Many people would choose to stay blinded because they are more comfortable and don't like change. But when you can't see what is happening in reality, or your perception is altered, you can suddenly find yourself in danger without ever having seen the danger.

Many of us don't discern the unpleasant side of life. We don't like the idea of darkness or evil, so we deny it or refuse to focus on it. We think we are in control when it isn't true. Imagine being a boy steering a toy car, imagining he is driving it, but the car is actually on a railroad car and can't be steered to a destination.

On the other hand, each of us can also be blind to the power that we do possess. We have immense power over our lives, but don't often see that. Instead, we continue to generate our own blindness. As a mind virus, wetiko induces blindness and seeds itself into our universe. Some people see their blindness in others, but not in themselves. They project what is within outward into the world and onto others. The filter of wetiko is often very deceiving. When you take what see around you at face value, you risk strengthening bondage to the physical world and the hold the mind virus has on you by increasing your blindness.

To me, life is a spiritual experience that demands creative participation. You don't turn a blind eye on evil, you work to dispel it. It's a spiritual act of decision. When you turn a blind eye to evil, you're part of that evil, even though you may refuse to see it. By refusing to face darkness, you live in an illusion of denial, and under the spell of wetiko. The blindness becomes a habit and a way of life. The most important things in life may be completely unseen. Also the wetiko of the world can be so great that it shatters our perceptions, which can awaken us or bury us, depending on our mindset and past tendencies. The desire not to know strengthens blindness. It's a self-defeating safety mechanism. Self-deception feeds wetiko as we become our own deceiver by design. You buy the lie and split your consciousness. The filter of blindness does not make you safe or protect you. You need vision. Imagine that.
